Apex Steel Press Release announcement

Forged in Steel: Apex Steel Named Naming Rights Partner of the Muscle Car Masters®

25 February 2026: The Australian Racing Drivers’ Club (ARDC) has announced Apex Steel as the Naming Rights Partner of the 2026 and 2027 Muscle Car Masters, marking a powerful two-year partnership that unites Australian engineering heritage with industrial strength.

The event will officially be known as the Apex Steel Muscle Car Masters, reinforcing a natural alignment between one of Australia’s leading structural steel suppliers and one of the nation’s most celebrated historic motorsport events.

From classic Falcons and Toranas to heritage touring cars and sports sedans, every category competing at the Muscle Car Masters is built on steel – from original pressed-steel monocoques to reinforced roll cages and chassis structures. Strength and resilience are at the core of both the sport and the industry that supports it.

ARDC Chief Marketing Officer, Peter Larum, said the partnership represents a strong vote of confidence in the future of the event and the venue.

“Muscle cars are forged in steel. Strength, durability and engineering excellence define both this event and Apex Steel’s contribution to Australian industry. We’re proud to welcome Apex Steel as Naming Rights Partner and look forward to building something enduring together over the next two years.”

As Naming Rights Partner, Apex Steel will receive sole naming association across event marketing, national broadcast coverage, digital media and Sydney Motorsport Park’s extensive LED venue infrastructure.

Apex Steel Managing Director, Joe Calleja, said the partnership reflects its ongoing commitment to Australian motorsport and performance.

“Apex Steel is proud to continue supporting Australian motorsport through our partnership with the Australian Racing Drivers’ Club (ARDC) as Naming Rights Partner of the Muscle Car Masters over the coming years. Steel is at the heart of everything we do, and there is no better setting to showcase strength, performance and reliability than one of Australia’s great motorsport events. The Muscle Car Masters celebrates engineering, passion and heritage – values that strongly align with Apex Steel.

We’re excited to be part of this iconic event and look forward to seeing plenty of quality steel on display, both on and off the track.”

The Apex Steel Muscle Car Masters will take place at Sydney Motorsport Park on 29–30 August 2026, featuring the legendary Touring Car Masters amongst more than 150 competitors across historic and heritage racing categories, alongside comprehensive broadcast and streaming coverage.

As a not-for-profit for purpose motorsport community organisation, the ARDC reinvests event revenues into grassroots motorsport, competitor development and ongoing improvements at Sydney Motorsport Park.

This two-year agreement leads a number of new MCM26 sponsor signings, and signals strong market confidence in the continued growth of the Muscle Car Masters and reinforces the event’s position as one of Australia’s premier historic motorsport celebrations.
