A display of cars celebrating a significant anniversary in 2017, set in a premium location at the MCM event.
Precious metal, modern muscle… All are invited to our annual display!
Drivers enter MCM free of charge for bringing in their pride and joy (subject to approval).
The Master Blasts are invitational high-speed demonstration sessions at the 2017 Muscle Car Masters for historically-significant, muscular racecars and original racecars from days-gone-by, presented in their famous colours and capable of lapping at pace. There will be three Master Blasts demonstration sessions held over the weekend, replacing 2015’s Heritage Hot Laps and 2016’s Sports Racing Invitational. The category provides track time for racing machines with period history but may not have a suitable category to race in at the MCM, plus it provides owners of these cars a place to demonstrate them without the pressure of racing them. Cars must be able to lap within 70 percent of its peak pace in period. Sorry, no replicas.
The ARDC invites owners of genuine racing vehicles in period liveries from the following:
-Non racing Heritage Touring Cars;
-Australian 5.0-litre Touring Car Assocation (former V8 Supercars);
-Ex-Bathurst 500/1000 and ATCC racecars;
-Cars that ran 2016’s ‘Sports Racing Invitational’ (Big Banger, ex-Can-Am, ex-Le Mans, GT);
-Historic Sports Sedans (Group U logbooked and other Sports Sedan invitees);
-Vehicles at the discretion of the ARDC.
