40th Anniversary: Valiant Charger R/T E38

In 1971, Chrysler Australia unleashed its latest weapon in the Series Production wars erupting on racetracks around the country - the Valiant Charger R/T E38. The letters R/T stood for ‘Road and Track’ which accurately described the versatility of this handsome new beast, armed with a 4.3-litre Hemi inline six with triple Weber carburettors. Arguably the most ‘Australian’ of all local muscle cars, the Charger R/T E38 is unique in the world of Mopar muscle and a car that all Aussies can be immensely proud of. We’re inviting all surviving E38 (and E49 of course) race cars to join us for a very special anniversary at The Masters.
