The quintessential Australian muscle car will be cutting laps at The Creek.
The Phase III is the quintessential Australian muscle car. Even 40 years on, it’s still the car by which all others are judged. With its unique ‘shaker’ engine intake scoop, boot lid-mounted rear spoiler and host of technical refinements, the Phase III was the ultimate development of the GT-HO breed.
Its immortality was assured following a stunning Bathurst win in 1971, when Allan Moffat went more than 13 seconds under the lap record to claim pole position on his way to easily winning the 500-mile race by a lap.
Planning is underway to assemble some of the greatest surviving Phase III race cars in Australia, to cut some laps at this special birthday celebration at The Creek.
Stay tuned.
